About Floral Edit

My Floral Journey

From Headteacher to Head Florist!

It was not until later in life that I found flowers. After a career in education spanning 27 years, including as a headteacher, I decided to make an edit to my career!

Having completed Willow Crossley’s online flower course, ‘The Fundamentals of Floristry’, followed by attending Tallulah Rose Flower School, ‘Introductory to Floristry’, I knew then that I wanted to work with flowers at some point in my lifetime. So, I took the leap and decided to set up my own floral styling business and Floral Edit was born!

I was inspired to branch out into wedding flowers after completing Philippa Craddock’s, ‘Create Your Own Wedding Flowers Masterclass’ followed by Philippa’s ‘Professional Wedding Flowers Masterclass’. I have also completed Tallulah Rose Flower School’s ‘Sustainable Sympathy Flower Course’.

Having learned from very talented and inspiring florists, I hope, in the future, to use my teaching skills to run floristry workshops and classes.

My Floral Style

Wild and Whimsical

My floral style is natural, wild and whimsical with flowers arranged as they would grow in nature. Nature inspires my work. From meadow-style bouquets to wild and whimsical centre pieces. Each design is unique to you. My designs won’t disappoint!

How Green Is Your bouquet?

Did you know that 86% of the UKs cut flowers are imported from overseas? Imported flowers travel thousands of miles increasing the flower’s carbon footprint.

As a flower lover, I care about nature. That’s why I only use products and sustainable techniques that are kind to nature. I use beautiful local British seasonal flowers and I never use floral foam because it is made of non-biodegradable micro plastics.

You can have the flowers of your dreams without costing the earth!
